Unfortunately, due to the sanitary crisis, the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa and the Festival d’Aix regret to announce the cancellation of the Lisbon session. All applications received will of course be kept and reconsidered for the selection of participants for future sessions.
Despite the end of containment, Portugal continues to face a generally difficult context, particularly in the cultural field. We tried everything we could these last weeks in order to postpone and maintain this session with our partner at the Escola but the difficult circumstances do not allow any possibility of postponement.
Cancelling this session means depriving the participants from the creative session with Fabrizio Cassol and local artists from the ESML among other major musicians, from a professional coaching session on career development with Christiane Louis, and from meeting local audiences during outreach actions, and the concerts planned at the end of the session. The Medinea member’s partnership meeting, as well as the next Medinea Series shooting are also consequently cancelled.
We are doing our best for the next activities and events to happen and will keep you updated as soon as we can.
