Simon KLAVŽAR regularly performs with Ensemble Modern Frankfurt, Ensemble Sonemus Sarajevo, Ensemble Neofonia Ljubljana, Ensemble Kompulz and OL–SK duo (with Oskar Laznik on the saxophone). He has appeared on stage with the Lincoln Chamber Music Society New York, Peter Sadlo, Alexej Gerassimez, Katarzyna Mycka, Stefan Hussong, Annika Treutler and Luka Juhart, among others. Since 2006, he has performed with Jože Bogolin as Drumartica, a percussion duo, and has given recitals in the USA, Spain, Russia, Luxembourg, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia. They have given master classes at various institutions and festivals: Western Washington University (WA, USA), Furman University (SC, USA), the Albolote Percussion Festival (Granada, Spain), Ivana Bilic Marimba Week (Samobor, Croatia), the Salerno Music Conservatory (Salerno, Italy), Tenerife Percussion Festival (Tenerife, Spain) and the Merza Percussion Festival (Galicia, Spain). They have played in Musical Olympus concerts at Carnegie Hall (New York), the Hermitage Theater (St. Petersburg) and Berlin Philharmonie (Berlin). They have performed important recitals at the Auditorio de Tenerife (Spain); Kuenstlerhaus Munich (Germany); the Kennedy Center (Washington, D.C.); Maryville College (TN, USA); the Embassy of Austria in Washington, D.C. (USA), the Ljubljana Festival (Slovenia), the Emilia-Romagna Festival (Italy), Villingen-Schweningen (Germany), Pfaffenhofen (Germany) and Dudelange (Luxembourg). Drumartica published their debut CD, Drumartica I, in 2012.
Since 2021, Simon Klavžar has been a professor of percussion at the University of Ljubljana Academy of Music (Slovenia). In addition to his duo activities, Simon Klavžar has performed at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival (Germany, 2010) and the Wolfsburg Movimentos Festival (Germany, 2011 and 2015). In 2015 he performed as a soloist at the World Music Days with the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Ljubljana (Kos: Concerto for Marimba and Bass Clarinet). He regularly performs at the New Music Forum (Slovenia), the Sonemus Fest contemporary music festival (Bosnia), and the Predihano Series of New Music (Cankarjev Dom, Slovenia), and gives concerts for children (Mini.Musik Munich). He was a member of the 2017 leg of the World Percussion Group (touring in Scandinavia and England) and is endorsed by Adams Musical Instruments and Innovative Percussion, Inc.
