Country: France

Born in Marseille in 1987, Johanna pursued her musical studies at the Conservatoire and University of Lyon where she won the Philharmonic Society Award in 2009. She then obtained her Master in Performance degree in 2011 at the Royal College of Music in London.
Selected from the RCM’s Rising Stars, she had the opportunity to perform in various chamber music ensembles at the Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Royal Festival Hall, and Westminster Central Hall. Up until 2016, she worked with several orchestras in England, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and mainly the BBC Symphony Orchestra with which she still performs occasionally.
She also played in major festivals such as the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, the Glyndebourne Opera Festival and the Edinburgh Summer Festival. With the Telefilmonic Orchestra, she recorded in the Abbey Road studios. Back in Marseille since 2016, she now plays with different ensembles such as the Orchestre Philharmonique du Pays d’Aix and various artists between classical and jazz such as Yannis Baziz. She also decides to share her musical experiences with the children of her region, integrating regional music conservatories and various associations offering music access to the less fortunate.
She’s training as a European Suzuki teacher at the Lyon Institute and doing workshops with the Académie du Festival d’Aix as an Artist-Relais.
