Born in 1993 in Nice, Etienne Fauré started studying percussion at Grasse’s conservatory
with Philippe Voituron. He then pursued his studies with Regis Famelart in Nice, where he obtained his Musical Studies Diploma as well as a Musicology Bachelor Degree with a “Interpret Musician” speciality in Nice-Sophia Antipolis University. Since 2015 he has been teaching percussion in Grasse’s conservatory while simultaneously playing for several orchestras (Nice Philharmonic Opera Orchestra, Cannes PACA Symphonic Orchestra, French Riviera Percussions Orchestra, Mediterranean Brass Band). Etienne Fauré has participated in the Aix Festival Academy for 2 years, as part of the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra and as an outreach artist where he got the chance to learn from David Jackson and Mark Withers.
He is a founding member of InterDuo, mixing the marimba’s harmonic and percussive depth to the flute’s melodic softness with Alexandre Tkaboca. He also contributed to the project Essences Musicales: an uncommon quintet composed of flute, alto, harp, saxophone and percussion, using unique techniques such as diffusing smells during the performance, in order to offer a complete sensory journey to its audience.
In 2019, he participated in the training programme Opéra De-Ci De-Là, a participative opera project questioning the strengths and the potentia0l of change in the opera industry.
