Outreach skills session
Age: 25 years old
Born in Saint-Etienne, France, where she discovered the harp at the age of 7, Marie-Line always wanted to work for education, but not as a harpist teacher.
Graduate of a master degree in Management of Cultural Organisations in Paris-Dauphine, she chose to combine her studies with her harpist training at the Conservatory. After several experiences in production (most notably for Concert Spirituel and Quatuor Debussy), she did her end-of-study internship at the Academy of the Opéra national de Paris, whose missions are transmission, training and artistic innovation. In addition to the writing of her master thesis on the role of artistic practice in children’s education at school, this experience confirmed her sensibility for mediation, especially in a school setting.
She joined the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève in Septembre 2019, where she combines high-level musical studies with professional activity in artistic and cultural education. She actually works for projects allowing children in priority-education networks to benefit from musical training, via orchestra practice, within their school.
