Country: Slovenia

Ajda Blaževič Arko began her journey with music and violin at a local music school at the age of four. In her second year, her substitute teacher was a violinist and multi-instrumentalist Bojan Cvetrežnik, who introduced Ajda to folk and ethnic music at a very young age. Ever since then alongside studying classical music, she kept in close contact with folk music as well. She played with many international folk musicians and is also a part of ethno-folk band Propertea and regularly participates in projects of Godalkanje, Fiddle Gang and Etno Histeria World Orchestra, Floating Castle and Nekropolis Festival (Czech Republic), collaborates with well-known Wild Strings Trio (with whom they also recently recorded their original tunes), Matija Solce, Toby Kuhn and many others. With the group Propertea, she recorded four CDs and performed on Slovenian big stages. She finished four years at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana and is now a first-year student at the Academy of Music Ljubljana.
