As a lyric singer, actress, author and director, music and voice are at the heart of my artistic life and my creations. This is undoubtedly due to the fact that music and voice have helped construct me, since my time at the conservatory and thanks to the piano and singing awards I have garnered: but it also because they form a language that has accompanied me since I was very young.
‘The voice is the reflection of the soul’, said Plato. I think that voice is an emotional and sensory support that, during a performance, makes it possible to ‘pierce’ the spectator’s representations and to address this part of humanity that we all share, in order to open us up to what is intimate, greater, poetic, and different. Children do this without a filter, and the inner child within the adult knows how to find the way. In this sense, I work on writing musical shows that are intended for all audiences and are accessible to everyone — including, and especially, to children. That is my conception of a show for young audiences.
In addition to dramaturgies and stage directions for the Minute Papillon company, I collaborate as an opera librettist with composers such as Isabelle Aboulker, Graciane Finzi, Julien le Hérisssier and Mark Withers, and create numerous participative shows for institutions such as Insula Orchestra and the Opera de Paris.
As a music therapist trained at Paris V, I always pay particular attention to audiences who have a more remote relationship with culture; and I like to design spaces for artistic mediation that are real creative experiences or human encounters, and that thus go beyond the transmission of repertoire.
